Zipper

Pilotpriest is back, but this time with an ultimate original! “Zipper” follows in traditional Pilotpriest fashion, focusing on impeccable programming, lush 80’s inspired synths and a vocal hook built for the dance floor: “Take down that zipper, you know you gotta take that zipper down.” Coming from Calamity Jane Recordings, I guarantee this one will be liked by many. Check it out. Enjoy!

What You Know About Little Secrets

I meant to post this one yesterday, but was a little too busy and what not. This one is pretty sweet. We have the lyrical Atlanta genious T.I. mixed up with the sweetsounding Cambridge natives Passion Pit. It's got the happy feeling to brighten anyone's days. The synthesizers in the song also grab attention to keep the beat moving along nicely. Check this one out! Enjoy!

Get U Home Video

I saw this last night, but I'm sad it's not the full vesion. Viking put out 2+ minute snippet of their latest remix. It sounds awesome. Shwayze released their song "Get U Home" a little while back and now it's been remixed. I've always liked Shwayze, but I didn't know they could sound so good with this electric funk. Here is the video. I'll post the song when I can get a final version. Enjoy!

Jump

Designer Drugs are well known in the blogging world for having some of the best remixes. They have done remixes from N.A.S.A. to Treasure Fingers. I know when I see the Designer Drugs tags on a sign I know I have to get on it. They do a pretty good job with this one. The song is not favorite, but Designer Drugs provides a dark and cynical beat on this tune. There will definitely be more Designer Drugs post in the future. Enjoy.

Night By Night

I was actually going to post some Chromeo yesterday for Throwback Thursday, but this seemed to work out really nicely. This is a new one called "Night By Night". They are known for there electrofunky ways. They once again define it here in a more poppy sense. I feel like some electro remixes are on the way for this one. Enjoy!

Love Is Still Gone

The remixes keep coming for David Guetta's "Love Is Gone", but I actually really like Dino Roc's remix. Using the synth's he creates almost a futuristic tribal beat on what is already a great song. Those of you who love "Love Is Gone", this one is a must check out. David Guetta is becoming a household name now, so if you think you like him now or are jumping on the bandwagon, listen to this. Check it out damnit! Enjoy!

Beaufitul Mashup

I've been following DJ Earworm for some time now. He is one of the best in game at mashups. He definitely proves it once again with this one! He mashes up "Beaufitul Girls", "Me Love", a twist on Led Zeppelin’s “D’yer Maker”, and “Take You There”, which pointed towards a more electronic futuristic sound. He mixed up these four hits, along with “I Can Feel It” from his last album “Sean Kingston”, and bits of “Tomorrow” and “Face Drop” from his upcoming album “Tomorrow”. This song is actually very good so check it out. Enjoy!

Throwback Thursday #8

I always seem to forget about Throwback Thursdays, but today I remembered! I'm not really sure if too many of you have heard this jam or not. It's the hit song "Paper Planes" remixed. Its an exciting fun paced track with a mellow yet sometimes serious groovy funk. It was on the soundtrack for Slumdog Millionaire, and also on a Paper Planes EP released by M.I.A. Definately grab a moment and check this one out. Enjoy!

Single, Heartless, & Wild

I definitely had to cop this from my blogroll partner Pigeons And Planes. Once I saw this I immediately took a listen and wow! This song is absolutely hilarious! It mashes Kanye West, Taylor Swift, and Beyonce. It even includes Kanye's little outburst from the VMA's. It doesn't get much funnier than this. I happened to catch Kanye on Jay Leno and it looked like he was having a tough time of it. Check out this mashup by the Apple Juice Kid. Enjoy!

Numb Encore

A couple years ago Linkin Park released an album with each song specifically mashed/mixed with Jay Z. I would say all of these songs were awesome. Here today being brought to you is an electro rework made to "Numb Encore". This rework has such a sick instrumental lined up with ill lyrics of Jay Z. The combination of Linkin Park and Jay Z definately is a great one and helps make for a definate club banger. Check it out. Enjoy!

Kanye At The VMA's

Most of you heard by now, but I definitely have to post this for those who haven't. Last night Taylor Swift won the award for Best Female Video. Before she could give her acceptance speech, Kanye ran out onto the stage and took the microphone from her to give a shout-out to Beyonce, one of the other nominees. What makes this so crappy is that this was Taylor Swift's first Moon Man Award. Thats not it either! As the camera cut away, Kanye then flipped off the crowd. Kanye West, what an a**hole! Later that night he had already released an apology. I don't buy it! Enough said!

Baby By Me

"Have a baby by me, baby be a millionaire." That is 50 Cent's main hook in his song here. He provides a killer beat with some sick verses by Neyo. The one is definately going to be at the top of radio stations across the country in probably no more than a week or so. 50 Cent can provide a top hit pretty much whenever he wants, and does it again! Check it out. Enjoy!

My Adidas

Finally, the epic remix from Pilotpriest is now available for everyone! His remix of Run DMC’s “My Adidas” has been sought after ever since it briefly hit the Internet (and was just as swiftly removed) last year and now it’s re-vamped into a final version that will blow you away. This one comes from Dani Deahl. If you like “My Adidas,” keep a watch on Pilotpriest – he will be releasing his DEBUT single “Zipper” (with remix support from Breakdown) with Calamity Jane Recordings on September 29th!

Girl Talk Comes To Fordham

Friday night ended up being a shit show for a lot of people. Friday night was the night that Girl Talk came to Fordham University. Thousands of people flooded the Lombardi Fieldhouse for this, many of which I don't think knew much about Girl Talk at all. The night started with Richie Coppolino opening up. Not going to lie, he was pretty awesome. He kept the crowd entertained, moving, jumping and having an awesome time. Many said that he was even better than Girl Talk that night. Girl Talk then came on. The crowd went absolutely nuts and the night went on from there. Gregg Gillis (Girl Talk) puts so much energy into what he does, which allows the crowd to vibe off him. This was my second Girl Talk show, and while it wasn't as good as the one before, it was still fun (The mass sweat in the crowd combined with tons of people throwing up hurt the chances).

Bad Girl

When I heard this song, I thought it was a pretty good song. The title "Bad Girl" goes well with who Britney Spears is now. She represents the title well; but back to the song. The only problem I had with it was I thought it was a little too slow. I thought it may sound better a little quicker, so i up'd the speed of the tempo 20%, and I think I hit gold for the song. The quicker tune just makes it easier to play in clubs and throw on mixtapes. Check out this one! Enjoy!

Chester French Is A She Wolf

Chester French frequently covers songs for the fun of it. Here I have Chester French covering Shakira's "She Wolf". Besides being excellent singers, they are great entertainers too. I love that they can have fun, besides just being so talented. The she wolf in the closet in the video is hilarious. Watch the video, and if you like the cover, you can download that too. Enjoy!

I'm On Mirrors Edge

Here's the first single off the long awaited DJ Benzi and XV collaboration mixtape ”Everybodys Nobody (We Got The Remix)”. This monster of a “Benzi remix” features Bun B, Glc, and Mike Posner on the hook. Today I was going to post a Jay Z song of the new Blueprint 3, but I heard this and thought this was levels better. This one is one of the best rap songs I've heard in a while. This one is a must download. DJ Benzi is such a genius! Enjoy!
